§ 44-91. Connection fee to pay for basic cost of county.

  • (1)

    A single connection fee will cover the basic cost of the county for tapping a main and construction within the public right-of-way of a line to water or sewer service for a single-family residential structure that is no more than 50 feet in length, installed by open cut, crosses a county road or does not cross a paved surface, and/or is no larger than two inches in diameter for water and six inches in diameter for sewer.

    (2)

    Any additional connection costs shall be the responsibility of the owner/applicant and must be paid prior to construction. Items requiring additional cost will include but are not limited to:

    (a)

    Services greater than 50' feet in length;

    (b)

    Directional drill and jack and bore;

    (c)

    Crossing of roads other than county roads;

    (d)

    Utility/storm drain conflicts (relocation of lines, conflict boxes, etc.);

    (e)

    Engineering and permitting; and/or

    (f)

    Services greater than two inches in diameter for water and six inches in diameter for sewer.
