In accordance with S.C. Code 1976, § 6-4-5 et seq., as amended, relating to the allocation
of accommodations tax revenues, there is hereby created the county accommodations
tax advisory committee. This committee shall be composed of seven residents of the
county who shall be appointed by a majority of county council with each member of
council nominating one individual. The terms of the members shall be for four years
or until their successors are appointed. The members of the committee shall serve
without compensation, and any member may be removed by a majority of council for cause
or for failure to attend at least 50 percent of the committee meetings in a 12-month
period.
