§ 2-107. Protocol for appointment of nonrepresentative member.

Any appointment to a board, agency or commission appointed, nominated or recommended by county council when such appointee does not represent a particular council district (i.e., a countywide at-large appointee) such vacancies shall be filled only after due advertisement for those persons interested in such position to have input into the appointment process. Council then shall discuss the appointment as may be allowed in executive session. The vote to fill such position shall only be made in open session and by majority vote of council.
